EPPP Research Opportunity: Share Your Experience with the Psychology Licensure Process
We are pleased to share this important dissertation research opportunity on behalf of Aliya Dowlut, a doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology program at Fielding Graduate University.
Research examining how candidates experience the EPPP and the psychology licensure process is needed. This research is especially relevant to our ongoing advocacy efforts to encourage Alberta to remove the three-attempt limit, as meaningful policy discussions should be informed by evidence and the perspectives of those directly affected. This study provides an important opportunity for psychology trainees, provisional psychologists, and licensure applicants to have their experiences represented in research. Participants Needed for an Anonymous Online Research Study
Hello,
My name is Aliya Dowlut, and I am a doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology program at Fielding Graduate University, conducting a research study under the supervision of Dr. Kristine Jacquin.
I am seeking eligible individuals to participate in an anonymous online research study examining psychology licensure candidates' perceptions of equity, procedural fairness, legitimacy, and structural factors related to the Examination for Professional Practice in Psychology (EPPP) and the psychology licensure process.
You are eligible to participate if you:
- Are 18 years of age or older; and
- Are a psychology trainee, provisional psychologist, or licensure applicant in Canada or the United States; and
- Have participated in any part of the EPPP or the psychology licensure process since January 1, 2023.
Participation involves completing an anonymous online survey that takes approximately 12–15 minutes. Participation is completely voluntary, and no identifying or potentially identifying information will be collected.
