Petition updateCall to Action: Removal of College of Alberta Psychologists 3-Attempt EPPP PolicyJuly 24, 2025 CAP Denies Access to Council Meeting, Delayed Town Hall Instead

Dear supporters,

We want to share an important, and deeply frustrating — update.

The College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP) has denied our request to attend their July 25, 2025, Council meeting, citing an internal policy that requires five business days’ notice. Despite nearly 1,000 signatures, letters of support from respected organizations, and growing public concern, they have chosen to block public observation of tomorrow’s meeting.

Instead, CAP has shared an unapproved agenda and announced that they will host a Town Hall in early Fall focused solely on Policy RP013a. They have not yet provided a date. This Town Hall is described as an opportunity to present information and receive feedback, but it comes months after those affected asked to be heard.

Even more troubling:
We will not know what happens at tomorrow’s meeting until after September 26, when CAP says it will approve and release the July minutes. This means the discussion, if it happens at all, will remain completely hidden for two more months.

What this tells us:
Our pressure is working — they are reacting
CAP is stalling for time, avoiding transparency
We must stay vocal, visible, and organized

We know this delay is exhausting. But we also know this movement is growing. Your voices, your signatures, and your stories are making a difference.

Thank you for standing with us. We will not stop fighting for a fair, transparent, and inclusive path to licensure.

In Solidarity,
