EXTENSION ELATION! 🎉

We did it 🎉 finally news on Friday 31st May 2024,  that the letter of intent has been issued by the Department of Education to the contractor, work can now be scheduled on the extension & repair works at the school. After all the campaigning on this over 15 years, it’s hard to believe this day has come. Let’s hope projected 20 month build schedule is in our sights . 

With many thanks to all the parents, politicians, school staff & community members who have campaigned over the years, especially those who supported the recent petition & email campaign to Minister Foley.  A huge shout out to our councillors and TD,s over the last 3 months who relentlessly represented our children by numerous PQ,s and motions to the DOE . A special note of thanks to parents whose children have left the school & who campaigned over the years; our recent efforts were based on your foundation. Thank you to the students who contributed to the postcard campaign to Minister Foley, we are very proud of you.

Thanks also to DDLETB, the board of management, the members of the Parents Association past & present & LCC staff. We look forward to seeing the work begin!
