The Mohammed El-Kurd event occurred last night, starting twenty minutes before the end of Purim, and reportedly had over 400 people in attendance. AU told individuals who emailed with concerns about the event that it was no longer AU-sponsored and that it would have to occur off campus, but those who cosponsored the event are saying that it was moved for logistical reasons. The true reasoning behind AU's decision to move the event would shed light on the AU administration's stance on antisemitism. Regardless of the reason, those who emailed AU with concerns likely influenced this decision.
