This is a major and historic step the government of South Africa has taken, today, December 29, 2023, to refer Israel to the ICJ. I think they should not long remain alone in taking this step. Surely the Vatican should join in doing this as well.

I encourage you to take steps in your own home countries to urge your governments to do the same. The Geneva Conventions have an affirmative duty on signatories to prevent genocide. Some countries have been reluctant to do so. Let us make it clear to them that we, the people, expect no less than for them to do their duty.
