We refuse to normalize or accept this discriminatory and extremely harmful practice. We will continue organizing to make sure that disabled students have the school stability and belonging that they need and deserve.

On June 7, 2023 the OUSD School Board took a vote on the "Resolution to Promote School Stability and Belonging for Disabled Students in OUSD."

Directors Brouhard, Bachelor, and Williams voted in favor of the resolution. Directors Davis, Hutchinson, and Thompson voted against it. 

The resolution was not adopted, so students were removed from their classrooms and sent to other schools for the 2023-24 school year. And more removals are planned for this school year!
