MPs across the country are hearing and seeing the headlines as thousands of Canadians join me in demanding parliament take action. I have been doing radio shows and interviews across the country. 

It has been heart warming to see thousands of folks answer my call to action. I have exciting news regarding our push for parliament to investigate Loblaw companies. 

Today, NDP critic for Food Price Inflation Alistair MacGregor will lead a vote to extend an NDP-initiated investigation into high food prices and corporate greed. With the investigation set to end in the coming days without hearing from big grocery CEOs who have avoided testifying, MacGregor’s motion would force the CEOs of Loblaw, Metro and Empire to come before committee to get to the bottom of sky-high food prices.

Food retail profit has doubled since the pandemic and the price gouging is becoming clearer. Canadians deserve far better than to be gouged at the checkout line. We need an investigation into Loblaw Companies and other major grocery stores across the country.

Parliament is hearing our calls for action and I hope that this motion passes at parliament later today.
