Hello Everyone!
Welcome and thank you to all that have newly joined the petition. We are making swift progress gathering 99 new signatures this week. Great big thanks to all promoting on Facebook and social media, you are making a difference.
We encourage you all to share to any groups you find on social media that are against Mike Lee as you may come across them. It is great news to see that we are gaining visibility in northern Utah now. It is important to see as many signatures as possible (hundreds of thousands). This is an effort to call Mike Lee out and show him that we are not the only constituents that are displeased with his conduct and lack of representation. The momentum of the last week is heading in this direction. Our last goal was 150 signatures and we have far exceeded that with over 250 today. The next small goal is 300 and the next benchmark is 1,000, this number will get the algorithm working for us as well.
I would like to introduce you to Elevate Utah found at @elevate_utah on Instagram with their Linktree listed there, @elevate_utah on Threads and Elevate Utah PAC on Facebook and @elevate_utah on Tiktok . This is a group of two women who give updates on local state legislation and are a wealth of information. Please follow them on social media.
Elevate Utah recently reported that Mike Lee made 9,000 posts to social media in Trumps first 100 days. We mentioned in a previous update that a Salt Lake Tribune investigative report found that Mike Lee is a verified "live poster" meaning that he is the person managing and posting to his social accounts. He could not possibly have time to his actual job with that pace of content creation. Mikes most engaged account on Twitter (X) is in fact Elon Musk.
Mike's one accomplishment in the Senate is introducing the original version of the SAVE Act to the Senate in 2024. Marc Elias of Democracy Watch said paraphrasing "This legislation if passed through the Senate (SAVE Act has passed the House) would be the largest voter suppression law in US history." Utah women make up roughly 49.4% of the Utah population. Utah women along with rural voters and minorities are the populations being targeted by SAVE Act legislation. Mike appears to have it out for half of the Utah population. It is also noteworthy that Celeste Maloy voted to pass the SAVE Act through the House. Mike does not represent all of his constituents by these metrics.
Continue to share and talk to those you know that want to see better representation for Utah. Please feel free to contact Mike Lee about these issues as well, we can apply pressure in many ways.
