We call on Surrey County Council to undertake a Road Safety Review of Blackborough Road and West Road, Reigate, to address concerns around vehicle speeds, congestion, vehicles mounting pavements, increasing HGV traffic and pedestrian safety.

Residents have seen an increase in heavy goods vehicles using Blackborough Road, and we would like the review to consider measures to reduce or prevent HGVs using the road as a through route where appropriate.

The review should also consider a 20mph speed limit, traffic calming, effective enforcement and appropriate parking controls, ensuring that any changes do not inadvertently increase risks to residents, pedestrians and other road users.
