Thank you to all the recent, additional supporters of this proposal. The petition is now up to nearly 2,000 signees, and tons of great comments! As of today the California "Bike Traffic School" bill (AB 902) introduced by Assemblymembers Richard Bloom (D-Santa Monica) and David Chiu (D-San Francisco), has been passed unanimously by the transportation committee (17-0) and the State Assembly (77-0). This bill is now moving on to the State Senate to go through the committee and voting process again, and then on to the governor's desk (hopefully) for his signature. It's a long process but your support is helping to make it happen, so thank you! Our appreciation also goes out to the California Bicycle Coalition, our state partners who are seeing this and many other important bills through the legislative process.
