Dear Friends and supporters, A few notes on the recall campaign that are important. Recall campaigns require a constituent of the person being impeached to collect 80,000 paper signatures in the case of Aaron Persky. These signatures cannot begin to be legally collected until April 2017. That is 7 months of doing nothing just to start collecting signatures. Once collected those signatures will only serve to put a recall measure on the ballot for November of 2017 in hopes that voters will show up and oust the judge. That is a lot of time and uncertainty in my personal opinion. Impeachment on the other hand can be begin right now. Our impeachment campaign has already received promises from Asm Garica and Asm Eggman via press releases on their websites of further action by the two if the judge does not resign. This means that they have already promised us impeachment hearings on this judge but have not delivered. We need to insist that these two assembly members keep their promises and begin impeachment hearings on this judge immediately. We cannot allow them to pass on their responsibility to the recall campaign they must act. For more information on how to contact these assembly members visit our blog.
