Thank you to everyone for your support of the 5th grade students' petition to ban microbeads from personal care products. Their petition and letters had a direct affect on AB 888 passing the Assembly in late May. The petition is in the hands of Assemblyman Bloom as he works to gain support for the bill in the State Senate. Be sure to help the bill pass by giving a call to your State Senator asking for their support of AB 888 (http://findyourrep.legislature.ca.gov/). Also, the students were amazed and truly touched by the amount of support their petition received and the encouraging comments. As teachers, we so appreciated your support as we help these students become active citizens and environmental stewards of our world... THANK YOU from the 5th grade at Mount Madonna School.
