Dear Supporters: We 5th graders left on Friday with only 200 signatures and came to school today to see that we had 4,000 signatures and left school today with almost 7,000 signatures. We are SHOCKED and AMAZED that so many people are interested in helping us and helping our project. THANK YOU, thank you, thank you!!!! This started out a project about orcas, but once we found out about microbeads and did an experiment with our 9th grade buddies and saw how chemicals stick to microbeads and harm the orcas... we wanted to find a way to STOP them from being used. The more we researched the more we found out and once we learned about the Constitution we wanted to start our own petition. Please continue to help our petition grow... please keep SHARING and SENDING and TWEETING and FACEBOOKING. It would be so amazing to see our petition reach 10,000 or even 100,000 supporters (especially since we thought 1,000 signatures would be awesome). We can't even tell you how surprised we are (we even like to refresh the petition page during the day and count how many more supporters there are). We also really appreciate your comments and the nice things people have said about our class and this project... THANK YOU.
