SCR 192 UPDATE: HOW YOU CAN HELP
LIFEGUARD COMMUNITY,
I am beyond stoked and elated to say that we have reason to believe SCR 192 could reach a floor vote in the coming week… HOWEVER, this does mean that the interval in which our advocacy can still shape the outcome has therefore narrowed to a matter of days. I am imploring all of you to please call and leave voicemails for your representatives this week with the goal of overwhelming the voicemail inboxes.
If you are feeling like spending more than five minutes on this, perhaps ten, then I implore you to send a madlib email! Though the phone calls are paramount: a direct call from a constituent carries a weight that few other gestures can approach, and the entire exchange requires less than five minutes.
Our goal this week is to saturate every channel available to these offices, their phone lines, their voicemail, and their inboxes. Once more, I want California’s legislators to see the overwhelming support and testimony of the lifeguard community.
WE ARE SO CLOSE. This is the juncture towards which this entire effort has been building and you can make a tangible difference in less than five minutes.
