In 8 days, on September 8, 2018, the world will experience more than 480 marches for the Climate in 71 countries, pivoting on the San Francisco, California "Rise for Climate, Jobs and Justice March"

More than 8,000 Climate Activists are expected to march in San Francisco, preluding the Global Climate Action Summit in the same city.
The Global Climate Action Summit is announced as a gathering of governors, mayors & local governments, business and civil society in San Francisco on 12-14 September 2018. Its stated goal is to showcase climate action taking place around the world, and inspire deeper commitments from each other and from national governments.
The website riseforclimate.org explains further:
"But this summit needs to be about more than just words. We need communities, cities, regions, governments, businesses, institutions, and places of worship, to significantly increase their ambitions — and go beyond the Paris agreement, to close the gap left by slow national action. But time is running out, the time for false solutions is over: we need a global, just transition away from fossil fuels and towards 100% renewable energy for all."
We, at the Climate Change Major Disaster Declaration Campaign, know that dealing with Climate Change, now requires much more than "a just transition away from fossil fuels and towards 100% renewable energy for all". We know that all aspects of Climate Restoration have to be addressed and that Climate Change Adaptation is also essential to protect humanity and the environment from the increasingly powerful forces of Climate Change.
To support our brothers and sisters in the Climate Change Action Movement and to bring our awareness to the Movement that Climate Change requires a State Of Emergency mobilization, where all resources are involved in transforming our economies and societies to rebalance the Climate to levels where we can survive and thrive, we encourage you to participate in any of the marches you have access to.
We will be present in the "Rise for Climate, Jobs and Justice March" displaying a large banner with the message CLIMATE CHANGE MAJOR DISASTER DECLARATION NOW. All of you coming to this San Francisco march are welcome to join us at Embarcadero Plaza, at 10:00 am, on Saturday, September 8, 2018
