Dear friends, It is time to ask California Governor Jerry Brown to officially Declare Climate Change a Major Disaster in California. Although Jerry Brown has not publicly stated that he will issue such declaration for the State of California, he has indicated in recent interviews that he is considering drastic policies to protect the Climate Change Action progress California has made and to accelerate the action. In an interview with the New York Times (See link to article), Jerry Brown said that the election of Donald Trump "could speed up the efforts of leaders in the world TO TAKE CLIMATE CHANGE SERIOUSLY". He also said "I wouldn't underestimate California's resolve" regarding Climate Change. "Yes, we will take action". There is no stronger show of resolve than Declaring Climate Change a Major Disaster and the best time to do it is while Obama is still the President. Let's strongly tell the Governor that we totally support "declaring war on Climate Change" by issuing the Climate Change Major Disaster Declaration immediately.
