The first 6 months of 2016 have had an average global temperature 1.5 ªCelsius warmer than the baseline temperatures of pre-industrial times. This means that it is likely that 2016 will have an average global temperature that has reached or has gotten close to the most desirable MAXIMUM global temperature increase of 1.5 ªCelsius agreed upon at the December 2015 Paris Accord. These news emphasize the urgency of making Climate Change Action the biggest priority for all nations. Our petition to the Governor of California has already gathered 234 signatures which is good but it needs to grow a lot more to reach our goal of 100,000 signatures.
