Stacey Dyer was interviewed by Mother Jones magazine about what it has been like to be incarcerated during the pandemic. Her description is haunting. 

Advocates and scientists have called for increased clemencies and releases from people in prisons, jails, and detention centers where it's impossible to socially distance. Incarceration in a pandemic creates a major crisis both inside and outside of prison. Gov. Newsom's progress has been very slow and there's very little time.
