Rodricus Crawford's case is a terrifying example of the ingrained racism in Louisiana's Caddo Parish court system. Rodricus is the second youngest man on death row at the Louisiana State Penitentiary in Angola and is confined to a cell for 23 hours a day for a crime he bares no responsibility for. At the age of 25, he has been accused, convicted, and given the death penalty for the death of his 1 year old son, a conviction that was based on deeply flawed information and testimony given by the forensic pathologist assigned to his case. There is substantial evidence to prove that Rodricus has been wrongfully convicted and sentenced for a crime he did not commit. His story was featured recently in The New Yorker in an article by Rachel Aviv: http://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2015/07/06/revenge-killing On behalf of the countless readers who have learned of Rodricus' story we ask that his appeal be granted.
