According to PETA it is okay to eat Oreos and other snacks that contain "animal derived ingredients" Accidentally Vegan PETA Snack list

"While PETA supports a strict adherence to a vegan lifestyle, we put the task of vigorously reducing animal suffering ahead of personal purity. Boycotting products that are 99.9 percent vegan sends the message to manufacturers that there is no market for this food, which ends up hurting more animals."

All this does is perpetuate the animal by products industry! We must discourage the use of animal by products as well as all animal products because these industries are indeed codependent on one another.
