Good News. At this week’s Council meeting, Byron Shire councillors will have an opportunity to take a stand on fast-tracked developments that could see buildings of up to six storeys (21 metres) in Byron Bay.
This comes six weeks after we sent a letter and proposal to NSW Planning Minister Paul Scully and Byron Shire Council, calling for an immediate pause and review of SSD/HDA declarations, a Cumulative Impact Assessment (CIA), and a new planning category recognising the distinctive character of towns and protecting them from a one-size-fits-all planning approach.
🏛️ Attend the Council meeting at Mullumbimby Chambers from 9 am: Thursday Oct 14
