The Issue

On Sept 29, 2020, 18 cats arrived at NAIA in the name of Shane Cruz. These cats were from Russia but due to incomplete documentation, this leads the 18 cats to remain in a cargo for 10 days. Imagine being stuck in a small confined carrier with limited space and poor living conditions for more than a week! These poor cats don’t deserved to be treated this way. About a week later, on Oct 7, 2020, the Bureau of Animal Industry has agreed to transfer the cats to another facility while waiting to be repatriated.

We, the signatories of this petition are asking BAI director, Dr. Ronnie Domingo to please don’t allow these 18 cats to be deported/returned to the origin country or other country. We don’t condone wrongful acts of violation, in fact, we are against importing animals for money.
However, if these cats are to be deported, there is no guarantee for their safety, Whereas, currently, the cats' respective owners are waiting to love and care for these cats.

Sir, please consider the welfare of these poor animals. We are hoping that you would be able to help them so that they won’t suffer any longer.
Thank you!
