The Burbank Unified School District Board of Education is planning to deny Options For Youth Public Charter Schools' petition for charter renewal after 20 years of service to underserved Burbank area students. Options For Youth (OFY) helps kids who need additional academic and social/emotional support to be successful in high school and beyond. A vote to deny their petition to renew could displace hundreds of currently enrolled OFY students, as well as hundreds more who have already registered for summer classes at OFY because they are behind in credits and need help getting back on track to graduate.

OFY has been the recipient of the US News bronze medal for California high schools and considered for the prestigious Broad Prize for Public Charter Schools. Sign this petition before the BUSD Board meeting on Thursday, May 18th, to show your support for OFY and the Burbank community!
