Hi all,
Once again, thanks for taking part in this protest. I just wanted to raise a couple of points about it with you.
Firstly, the petition has gained a lot of signatures over the past two weeks, currently standing at over 170 people who have joined up. This is a great start, but I still think we could get a lot more people involved. From what I've seen, the best way to gather more folks to join the cause still seems to be by alerting youtubers. The many people who watch their videos are pretty much the exact type of gamers that would be interested in taking part. I have been trying to do this myself (as I know others have), but they are so popular that one comment or email gets lost among the rest.
One of our number made the great analogy that this whole thing is like a raid, and that we all need to communicate, plan and act as a unit if we want change to happen. Therefore, if you would be willing to, then this Saturday (14th November) I ask you to add some kind of comment to as many of the appropriate youtubers' videos as you can telling them and their viewers about the cause.
Now, for this stage of contacting youtubers, a couple of people have already made some suggestions. The first is that it may also be a good idea to get in touch with them through Twitter as it is apparently the best way to contact them. I still think the comments on their channels will help too (especially on the videos that are most relevant to our cause), but if Twitter is the best method overall then it is a very good idea to use that too.
I've taken the liberty of gathering some of the YouTube and Twitter contacts for you to use:

I will be asking as many people who have already signed up to do this as I can, along with people who may be interested in taking part, so hopefully a flood of comments this weekend will have the desired effect of a larger number joining the cause and a sustained impact in general, not to mention videos being made about the protest.
Which leads me to my second point. It was suggested by the person I mentioned above that the entire campaign will take some time. I puzzled over what to do with this, but then had an idea which may work to cover all bases. You will notice a slight change to the plan which now reads 'from December 1st onwards' rather than just 'on December 1st'. This way, I believe we can still target December 1st for the initial flood being sent to Bungie (and the press), but then as time goes on the campaign is ongoing and has more of a chance to succeed.
Let me know what you think.
It was also suggested that some kind of common title within the messages sent to the youtubers would be good as it will show a united front. I was thinking simply 'Bungie/Activision – Enough is Enough', but if a better one comes up I'll let you know if there's time. That way they know that we're an organized group who's trying to make a change for the good of the game. Plus we shouldn't just throw in why the game sucks, but also offer constructive criticisms that'll make them say "Yes, that's how this game should be."
Another suggestion was that we could use this quote, attributed to Napoleon Bonaparte:
“The world suffers a lot. Not because of the violence of bad people. But because of the silence of the good people.”
Lastly, another of our number, Metal Rican 101, is in the process of getting his own YouTube channel together and may be able to cover our cause on it, which will be awesome. So far he has a test video where he's playing a rather cool game, but I think it's a pretty decent video and that he'll do well. He asked me to tell people about it, and that's fine by me, so if you want to check it out it's here: https://youtu.be/MqjoNrtcATc
