When you stand up to bullies, they don't apologise. They turn you into the enemy.

I want to talk about a pattern.
It's there in emails. In replies. In posts.
Someone stands up to bullying. Someone helps a vulnerable person. Someone asks for transparency.
And instead of accountability, they become the target.
Here's what that pattern looks like:
· I stopped them isolating a 92-year-old war veteran. They said I was "undermining" them.
· I asked for meeting minutes. They said I was "harassing" them.
· I reported abuse. They said I was the problem.
· I started a petition to protect vulnerable people. They launched a smear campaign – 12 false posts in one night. I reported it to Essex Police (42/54633/26).
The victims become the villains.
Not because they did anything wrong. Because the perpetrators need someone to blame.
I have the emails. The witness statements. The police report. The evidence is clear.
But the pattern is the same every time: when you won't comply, they try to destroy you.
I'm not the villain. I'm the person who refused to look away.
The council has done nothing to stop this. The committee continues. The police are now involved. The Ombudsman is watching.
If you've ever been blamed for standing up for what's right – you'll understand.
