Why Is It So Difficult to Help People? (381 Signatures and Counting)

Update:

381 signatures. Thank you.

I've been asking myself a question.

Why is it so difficult to help people?

Everyone wants to be happy. Everyone wants peace. And yet – the desire to feel important, to be in control, seems to take priority over what people should actually be doing.

Human factors go out the window.

My quest – to stop a committee bullying vulnerable plot holders – has brought me accusations, abuse, and a smear campaign so intense I reported it to the police.

The accusations have no real relevance. They just show how subjective and personal people can get when you won't agree with them.

That's the problem. When some people can't get their own way, they make life difficult for everyone else.

But here's what I've learned.

Being autistic, I just keep going. I make analysis of everything. I beat myself with it, again and again – but I keep going.

The bullies open more and more doors – arguments in a corridor – until they find one I can't reason out.

Me? I'm about truth. Facts. Options. Choices. Decisions.

And along the way, I see people being bullied into choices that aren't theirs. Schemed against because they're not liked by the committee.

I see these issues as clear as day. Racism. Homophobia. Intimidation. Gross misconduct.

Yet Southend Council is unwilling to even investigate.

The devil is in the details.

And the details at Rochford Road Allotments reveal breaches of:

· The 1922 Allotments Act
· The 2010 Equality Act
· The Public Sector Equality Duty (PSED)
· The committee's own constitution

It's a real can of worms. But every worm in this proverbial can that we uncover is a step closer to accountability.

What you can do:

If you want proof of anything I've written – I am happy to provide it.

And if you haven't signed yet – please will you? We're 76% of the way to 500.

Thank you. Every signature matters. Every voice counts.
