Dear Neighbors,

It is the holiday season and I hope we are busy with family and friends. However, the developer, Ellis has applied for a ministerial review of the project at 6230 Claremont. 

So we are going to oppose this particular rendition on several grounds.  Please see the letter to Planning and Building on our website.  We are also very concerned about the height and will challenge their exceeding zoning as well as traffic safety during construction. As we have said several times, we are not against this project, but the height is too much for the neighborhood.  Current zoning is 55 feet they are asking for 93.    

If the city proceeds to grant ministerial review the results will be that none of our concerns will be discussed, considered, or even heard at a meeting.  

I am hoping you can write a letter to the head of planning asking questions, so they are aware that there are neighbors who are concerned about the height and the traffic resulting from the project.  Catherine Payne at cpayne@oaklandca.gov.
