Build the Commodore Trail!

Build the Commodore Trail!

The Issue

The five-mile Commodore Trail, which begins at the Rickenbacker toll plaza, continues south through Coconut Grove, and ends at Cocoplum Circle, has the potential to be the crowning jewel of Miami-Dade County's recreational trail system. But much of the trail is a trail in name only, consisting of narrow sidewalks and dangerous, pitted shoulders of busy roadways. Contrast this with the beautifully rebuilt Old Cutler Trail, which stretches south from Cocoplum Circle. The time to rebuild the Commodore Trail is now!
