Reach out to the council and let the VoPB know that we mandate them to move forward with creating Tanglewood Linear Park and adopting zoning ordinances that align with our Board of County Commissioners that preserves our community and keeps the village of parks - green, safe and connected.

Now we need the Village of Palmetto Bay to obtain these parcels for Tanglewood and Adopt Zoning Ordinances for Utility Easement Protection in the Village of Palmetto Bay

We the undersigned residents of the Village of Palmetto Bay, respectfully call on the local government to implement new zoning ordinances that specifically address parcels of land within our community that bear an excess of 75% utility easement burden.

We are requesting that the Village of Palmetto Bay enact zoning regulations to ensure that no temporary or permanent constructions, including but not limited to buildings, barns, sheds, pools, patios, or fences, are allowed within these heavily burdened utility easement areas. This measure is essential to prevent any potential interference with the operation of existing utilities or future infrastructure improvements within the utility easements.

Additionally, these easement areas must remain accessible for repairs and maintenance without being encumbered by any structures or obstructions. Ensuring clear and unobstructed access is vital to the timely and efficient repair of utility facilities, minimizing disruptions to service and ensuring public safety.

We believe that adopting these zoning ordinances will help safeguard the effective functioning of utility systems, without interference from unauthorized structures. Additionally, we seek to align our local zoning regulations with Miami-Dade County Resolution No. R-185-25, which was adopted unanimously on February 19, 2025.

By obtaining the 4 folios to create Tanglewood Linear Park as well as adopting these zoning regulations, you can enhance public safety and preserve the integrity of essential utility infrastructure. We, the undersigned, urge the Village of Palmetto Bay to act swiftly in adopting our request to protect our community from any future disruption to utility operations and preserve our green spaces.
