Funding for barrier approved!

We did it! On June 27, 2014, the San Francisco Golden Gate Bridge Board of Directors unanimously approved funding to build a suicide prevention barrier on the Golden Gate Bridge. The 20-foot-wide steel net will extend out from each side of the 1.7-mile span and prevent anyone from jumping off the bridge. Thank you to the more 150,000 people who signed my petition on Change.org in support of the barrier being built.
