Dear Disc Golf Supporter,

Thank you for supporting our effort to build more disc golf courses in the City of Pensacola.  I wanted to follow up with an update about where we are in the process and how we plan to work toward our goal.  With more than three hundred signatures on our petition, multiple proposed course designs, and sample videos to illustrate, we are drafting a letter to send to the Director of Pensacola Parks & Recreation, Ben Heistein. We plan to request that they include one or more disc golf courses in their immediate plans to improve our community’s access to this healthy, inexpensive, and outdoor recreation option.

We recently attended the initial community input meeting for the Hollice T. Williams Park Design + Expansion project and plan to continue participating in future meetings.  Along with Mike Osley of the Emerald Coast Disc Golf Club, we were on-hand to suggest that disc golf be included in the discussion and design.  The concept was well received, but we were encouraged to show demand by getting as many residents as we can to request disc golf in their survey.

WHAT YOU CAN DO TO HELP is complete the survey at the link above and say that you want to see a disc golf course be included in the design.  Our power will be in our numbers of people who respond, so please take this step for the cause…and encourage friends and family to participate in the survey as well!

We are excited to be representing and growing disc golf in our community and will keep sharing progress updates as things develop.  It may take years, but we will continue the mission until we are successful in making our city better through disc golf.
