On Friday the 4th of April Hobart Basketball Association supported by Basketball Tasmania and the Hobart City Council will be holding a ‘Home For Hobart’ Rally and Season Launch at the New Town Bay Rowing Club.
Please come along and support us in person! Start time is 4:30pm with the formalities to kick off at 5:15pm followed by a march to the site.
Our primary aim from the afternoon is to increase public awareness of the project as well as to bring our people together on the future build site! We have invited our 800+ members and their families to attend the event and would love all of you guys to attend too! The event will included:
- A free “hamburger and sausage sizzle”
- Balloon tying for the kids
- Addresses from Independent Member for Clark Andrew Wilkie and Liberal Candidate for Clark Marilena Di Florio in support of the Home for Hobart project
- A walk from the rowing club to the green field site at New Town bay upon which the development is proposed and
- Drone footage of our members and supporters standing shoulder to shoulder on the site looking skyward.
We are all geared up to have a red hot crack at gaining Federal funding to get our 'Home for Hobart' 4 court basketball stadium at New Town Bay under construction!
