Nearly 30 years ago in 1987, Scott Kemper sang the Buffalo Bills’ now-iconic “Shout!” song. The song that is ubiquitous at anything Western New York: weddings, out-of-town Bills backer bars, tailgating parties and, of course, inside Ralph Wilson Stadium on Sundays. The song is a big deal, a very big deal, and with the exception of perhaps Goo Goo Dolls lead singer John Rzeznik, Kemper’s voice is the most famous in Buffalo.

Now, fans are calling via social media for Kemper to come to Buffalo and sing the song live and he is wrestling with that idea. He might. Or might not.

First, Kemper would need to be invited. And he’d need to be ready: Except for playing in church, he gave up live performing long ago, and today is perfectly happy playing music for himself. But if asked, Kemper is open to the idea. He said, “I hope I can do it.”

I believe a live performance of "Shout!" at Ralph Wilson Stadium would be a once-in-a-lifetime experience and that signing this petition would show the Buffalo Bills that you want to see Scott Kemper invited to The Ralph to sing for the 60K-plus season ticket holders who themselves sing it both in and outside the stadium on football Sundays!
