The caging of wild animals for the entirety of their lives is cruel as it is, but to have them abandoned to live out their lives in a zoo shut down for its cruelty and less than favorable conditions is even more horrendous.  These animals deserve to live out their lives in a sanctuary where they can roam freely and be cared for properly.  When Buenos Aires finally made the decision to close this awful zoo they promised to safely transport the animals to sanctuaries to live out their lives and roam free. It has been a year since the zoo closed its doors and they have not kept their promise. Many Primates, Big Cats, Elephants, Giraffes, and other animals remain there.
