Faster broadband

Faster broadband
The Issue
Residents and purchasers of New Homes on the final phase of the Bellway Housing project based at Cleadon Vale, South Shields were never informed of the poor broadband speeds they were to achieve. The first phase of the building works are currently connected to fibre services however the final phase is not with no plans from BT Openreach to do so in the near or foreseeable future.
Residents on another new build estate based near Leam Lane were also in the same situation however a petition and gathering together of residents has enabled them to motivate Openreach to install (Superfast) fibre services to their properties. I hope to achieve the same result.
Currently, most residents are lucky to achieve a speed of 2mb/s which in today's society just isn't fast enough and is classed as slow by the Broadband Development UK group.
Hopefully, with enough signatures, we can at least get the attention of BT Openreach to look into this matter because as it stands, it's just not good enough to connect one half of a new estate to fibre services whilst neglecting the other.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
