Educators Against HB1218

The Issue

HB1218 will ultimately negatively impact our students from organizing clubs around religious and political values, race and social injustice(s). In addition, it will stifle our students ability to learn how to have  important and meaningful conversations in order to promote positive growth within our local, city and state communities. It will impact us, as educators, that guide and teach our students how to have constructive conversations within the walls of our school and community. It will overall shape our curriculum and ability to pass on critical information regarding our history. If HB1218 is passed, and our schools are found in violation of this bill, it will directly impact funding for our students. Educate yourself, read and sign. Thank you for your support,
