Release Esperanza Rivas

Release Esperanza Rivas
The Issue
Help us help my mother Esperanza Rivas stay home with her family. My mother has been in this country since 1998. She has always worked so hard to provide for her family. She has made numerous sacrifices for her family and friends. Everyone that knows my mother knows she is such an amazing person. Back in 1998 she purchased a US birth certificate as many illegal immigrants looking for better opportunities do (human mistake). She then applied for the TPS work permit and was granted to her, she never used the US birth certificate. In 2009, she was being investigated by the government but she was able to prove that she made a mistake and the government dismissed the case and closed it. She was never convicted or fingerprinted. In 2016 my US citizen older brother claimed her and she was able to obtain her green card. They did a background check, fingerprints and everything, ALL good. She has NO criminal record, but she HAS a good moral character & good credit. Now the government has her detained in Miami Broward Transitional Center and are trying deport her for something that happened over 10 years ago which case was closed. We ask for your help, to help her get released from BTC. Esperanza is of age and the detention center BTC does NOT take the precautions needed to protect the detainees from Covid-19.. We Need Our Mom Home. ICE continues to detain immigrants during a massive global pandemic. Governor DeSantis, along with countless other politicians and medical personnel, have sounded the alarm that this virus attacks those with preexisting conditions regardless of age. THIS IS INHUMANE !!
STOP DEPORTATION NOW !!!
Please sign and share as much as you can to help Esperanza get released from BTC
