What a week....

This week has been emotionally draining. I am so happy that it is over. I am hoping that this new week will bring good news. For starters, we are only 132 signatures away from our first goal of 10,000 signatures. Here is where you all come in: Please share this petition with everyone that you know. Ask them to sign and share as well. We are going to be keep gathering signatures until right before we have to testify in Baton Rouge. This week, we will be reaching out to Rep. Stephen Dwight as well to update him on our progress. In addition to that, we are going to be reaching out to McNeese State University. We are planning on going to Lake Charles in October and will be collecting more signatures in person. I have also reached out to the District Attorney's office in Denver and will be doing some training so I can become a Victim's Advocate. This is something that I feel like I need to do. The more things that I can learn about the program, the better. I still can't believe that we only need 132 signatures in order to reach 10,000. We couldn't have done this without all of you.
