Petition updatePardon all of the estimated 49,000 men who, like Alan Turing, were convicted of consenting same-sex relations under the British "gross indecency" law (only repealed in 2003), and also all the other men convicted under other UK anti-gay laws.Amazing traction in the media. Let's keep up the momentum!

A heartfelt thanks to all who have signed the petition to pardon men convicted of “gross indecency” in the U.K.
A number of media outlets have noted the petition including AP, BBC, The Independent, and two personal heroes of mine—actor and author Stephen Fry, and scientist and author Richard Dawkins—have both encouraged their Twitter followers to sign. Filmmakers and cast from "The Imitation Game" have also expressed support for pardons.
The movement to pardon has really caught fire! We’re nearing 100,000 signatures as I write this on Sunday morning, and thousands more are signing every hour! I’m urging you boost this momentum and share your support with friends.

Please consider letting your social networks know about the petition and the campaign for some small measure of justice for so many men convicted under U.K. antigay laws.
