Stop BC Speculation Tax Petition Not Recognized

The Legislative Assembly (of BC) neither recognizes nor accepts e-petitions. Therefore, the BC Government is not required to officially respond to our petition (or any e-petition for that matter). I always knew this was a possibility but had hoped that the Legislature would overlook this archaic rule, as the Federal Government has done, but to no avail. REGARDLESS, the petition has value. Please keep signing and spreading the word. Every Reason for Signing on this petition is emailed directly to Hon. Carole James, Minister of Finance and Deputy Premier and to Hon. John Horgan, Premier and President of the Executive Council. And I have emailed the e-signatures and comments to them directly as well. Thank you to Ben Stewart, MLA for Kelowna West for carrying our petition forward to the Legislature. And thank you for your support of this petition. Your assistance has been invaluable in communicating the issues associated with this issue to the BC Government.
