Dear Friends, We have some good news for you! Another company ends their partnership with SeaWorld! Next up on the list is the NFL team the Miami Dolphins who had a multi-year marketing deal with SeaWorld since 2012. This contract ends in March 2015 and the Miami Dolphins have decided to not renew the contract. Why aren't they renewing the contract with SeaWorld? One can only guess. SeaWorld said in a statement that the end of their partnership is due to “shifting business priorities” while the Miami Dolphins did not comment on why the contract won't be renewed. I remember a petition asking the Miami Dolphins to stop offering SeaWorld tickets to boost seasonal ticket sales which reached over 10,000 signatures and there were also many people posting on the Dolphins' Twitter and Facebook page asking them to end their partnership with SeaWorld due to SeaWorld's treatment of the orcas they currently hold captive. According to WDC, Whale and Dolphin Conservation, the Miami Dolphins have thus joined the growing list of companies that severed ties with SeaWorld, such as Southwest Airlines, Virgin America, Panama Jack, STA Travel, Taco Bell and Hyundai.
