Dear all. Just wanted to let you know, we did it! We've saved the BAP! Bristol City Council have written to all service users to confirm that : "We do recognise the strength of opinion regarding the Bristol Autism Project and the changes to the delivery model that was proposed..." And so "we have decided to continue to deliver the short break service that has been provided by Bristol Autism Project within the local authority for the foreseeable future". BCC have also committed to involve parent carers more closely in the redesign of other autism services in Bristol. This is excellent news, and could not have been achieved without the support of all of you who signed and shared the petition, wrote to your MPs and local councillors, and generally raised awareness of this amazing project. Thank you. Together, we've made a real difference.
