Currently caravans / trailers / boats can park on residential streets indefinitely in the Brisbane City Council region. Often these vehicles are not moved at all and are used as storage by some home owners. The caravan parking lowers street appeal and potentially value of homes in surrounding area. It is also dangerous with many caravan blocking views of traffic. Many councils only allow 2 hours for these vehicles yet BCC has no limit. You should know if you park opposite one of these caravans and don't leave the desired 3m in between the vehicles, you as the second vehicle arriving could be fined.
