It’s been one week since I launched this petition to bring the Violent Femmes back to New Zealand – and I want to thank each and every one of you who has signed, shared, and supported the cause so far.

Here’s where we’re at:

Every signature matters, and together we’re starting to build momentum. The Violent Femmes haven’t played here since their Debacle Tour in 1990, and after the heartbreak of cancelled tours in 2020 and 2022, it’s time we showed promoters and the band that Aotearoa is ready for their return.

If you haven’t already, please keep sharing the petition with your friends, family, and fellow fans. The more visibility we get, the stronger our case becomes. Imagine the energy and nostalgia of seeing the Femmes live again – and giving today’s generation of Kiwi fans the chance to experience that magic for the first time.
