Hi there. It's been a few months since my last update here. I'd more or less given up on it, and then the announcement of free public transport in lutruwita/Tasmania settled a significant amount of my concerns. But yesterday on social media Mayor of Launceston Matthew Garwood commented that he had an idea for a new Tiger Bus, and, assuming he is re-elected in October, would seek to bring it back in the next council term. I was skeptical, but considering he hasn't made a giant fuss about it (plus the low stakes of local politics in Tassie) I believe him. I haven't been a massive fan of our Mayor through the years, but if he follows through on this I'll be rather happy. So I'm back on the campaign for this again, and I hope you all will be. Once we get a full list of candidates for the local elections later this year I'll reach out to as many as possible to find their beliefs on the Free Tiger Bus, and better public transport in Launceston. Thanks to y'all, and I'll hopefully be back soon!
