Hi everyone,

First, thank you so much to everyone who has signed, shared, and supported this petition. Your passion for honoring Brian Wilson’s legacy is what keeps this effort moving forward every day.

I’m writing with an important update on our work to bring a dedicated Brian Wilson exhibition to life.

We’ve been in close touch with the team at the Bruce Springsteen Archives and Center for American Music. They fully recognize the cultural importance of Brian’s life and music, but because of their current schedule and exhibition pipeline, the earliest an official exhibition could take place at their facility is 2029.

I won’t pretend that news wasn’t disappointing. We all want to see Brian honored in a major institution as soon as possible. However, if Brian Wilson’s life has taught us anything, it’s resilience. A delay is not a defeat. It simply means we need to adjust our strategy.

We are definitely not waiting until 2029 to give Brian the tribute he deserves.

While we continue working toward the long-term goal of an exhibition at the Springsteen Archives, we’re also looking for a temporary first home for the exhibit now. Brian’s story, his music, and his artistry deserve to be shared, and we’re determined to help make that happen.

🏛️ The search is on  and we need your help!

We’re actively looking across the East Coast for the right setting to host a comprehensive exhibition about Brian’s life, legacy, and musical genius. We’re especially interested in:

  • University spaces or galleries interested in hosting a meaningful temporary cultural installation.
  •  Adaptable warehouses or creative event spaces that could be transformed into an immersive music archives
  •  Museums, historic buildings, or cultural hubs that may be open to collaboration.
  •  A temporary home would give us a place to bring the community together, share archival materials, celebrate Brian’s lasting impact on American music, and show why this exhibition matters.

📣 How you can help right now

Spread the word: Please share this update widely. We want this call to reach university boards, gallery curators, museum teams, and property owners along the East Coast.

Send us leads: If you have a connection to a university, gallery, museum, venue, or exhibition space that could be a good fit, please reach out.

Keep signing and sharing: The more this petition grows, the stronger our case becomes when we approach potential venues. Let’s show them how much Brian means to all of us.

Thank you for standing with us, for believing in this effort, and for keeping those good vibrations going. We will find the right place to celebrate Brian’s genius  and this is only the beginning.

With immense gratitude,

Katie Webb
