WORLDWIDE PETITION: Roblox, Change Your Chat Verification System

We are millions of Roblox players around the world who support child safety online. However, the mandatory facial age verification system Roblox introduced to access chat has serious problems that affect millions of innocent users.
The verification process fails constantly, leaving honest players without access to basic features. Asking children and teenagers for biometric data — a facial scan or government ID — just to chat in a game creates justified distrust among families. And the all-or-nothing approach means that anyone who refuses to share sensitive personal data loses chat access entirely, regardless of who they are.
We are not asking Roblox to remove safety measures. We are asking them to do it better.
We demand:
Simpler verification alternatives that do not require biometric data. A clearer, more accessible process for parents and children. A fair appeals system for users whose verification fails. Full transparency about how personal data is handled and deleted.
Roblox has over 150 million daily active users. We are their community, and we deserve to be heard.
