My name is Alexandra, and I'm on the Civic Engagement team at Change.org. Our team works to connect petition starters and supporters with the public officials who have the power to act on the issues you care about. One of the ways we do this is through tools that allow petition creators and signers to email decision makers directly from our platform.

Thank you for contacting the Office of Mayor Freddie O’Connell. We appreciate your sharing thoughts regarding the fairgrounds.
We have known this administration will need to make a decision on the Fairgrounds speedway. We are focused on exploring all available options and the benefits they provide to Nashvillians and will continue to discuss with multiple stakeholders ways to improve the facilities at the Fairgrounds. There is no deal at this time and there is no announcement planned or scheduled. Mayor O’Connell remains committed to including the community in any discussions about next steps for the Fairgrounds.
The Fairgrounds represent an opportunity to celebrate so much of what we love about Nashville and make it better, and we look forward to finding a solution that ensures it is the best community asset it can be. That is consistent with the administration's goals of a more affordable Nashville with streets that are easier and safer to navigate, and a reliable and efficient local government. We inch closer to those goals with each piece of feedback we receive.
