Sorry for the long period of silence. Like everyone else, we too have been coping with the COVID-19 situation, with the added worry of dealing with Anoosheh's situation and his constant exposure to this disease and many other perils. Anoosheh has now been in Evin Prison for 3.5 long years, and there is still no sign that he will be released any time soon. Unfortunately, the value of Anoosheh's life is measured by what sells paper, what draws the biggest TV audience, and what makes politicians look good here in the UK. A soon-to-be 67-year-old Middle-Eastern looking father does not make "good" TV, irrespective of the fact that he is a law abiding, respected, family-loving, conscientious father and husband, who does not even have a parking ticket to his name. We do not want him to be forgotten, we do not want him overshadowed, we do not want him to be relegated to the abstract category of "other dual nationals." This is why we have started a crowdfunded campaign to begin the project to raise his profile, to keep his name alive, and to show the public that he is a human being with rights, who deserves to spend his golden years in the loving arms of his family.
