Thank you to all who came to the Feb 12 LBUSD board meeting—the discussion on returning graduation to the Irvine Bowl was passionate and charged, with speakers roughly split 50/50 sharing why this tradition (or alternatives) hits so close to home. The energy was high because it matters to so many in our town.
Positives: Superintendent Glass confirmed that the Board has FULL authority over this decision. The Board has scheduled a vote for February 26 regarding where graduation will be held! This is our moment to show up in solidarity!
The other side is organized, so let's match and exceed that with bigger turnout. Thursday night's group was committed—imagine doubling or tripling it! Even just sitting in solidarity counts too! No speaking needed.

Thank you to everyone who spoke or attended Thursday night—your voices are making a difference. Let's rally on February 26 and show our support for our kids and future generations of graduates! Who is planning to be there? 💜🎓
Many thanks to all,
Elizabeth
